
Licensed Psychologist
Objective: To provide professional, quality program services to homeless individuals referrs for Social Security evaluations.
Qualifications: • Must be a Licensed Psychologist. o Credentialed with the major health plans preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Work part time performing medical evaluations to assist in the determination of SSA benefits • Partner with ACCESS team/SOAR practitioner to obtain necessary information. • Administer a variety of psychological tests, possess good writing skills, be able to develop rapport with homeless persons of various cultures.
Competencies: • Be knowledgeable about and utilize various substance abuse treatment modalities such as harm reduction and motivational interviewing. • Have demonstrable working knowledge of Vulnerable Adults Laws and other pertinent rules and regulations. • Knowledge of symptoms and course of serious and persistent mental illness as well as medications and other therapies used to treat mental illness. • Knowledge of supportive counseling techniques, independent living skills/teaching and crisis intervention techniques. • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices. • Develop appropriate and manage crisis therapeutic relationship with clients. • Assess situations. • Must have a car, MN driver’s license and be able to drive, day or evening hours. • Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work with and be part of a team. • Be able to speak, clearly understand and write the English language. • Able to use a computer for word-processing and data base management. • Be able to accommodate flexible working hours.
